Pure Fuchsia.
Unapologetic Joy.

If Jeannete is the refined duchess and Judith the dramatic artist, Loes is the one who fills the room with warmth the moment she arrives. Her blooms are a luminous, fully saturated fuchsia-pink — broad, generously open petals with a deep plum-black eye at the centre that draws the gaze inward like a velvet heart.

"The kind of flower that turns a balcony into a destination."

Loes has a cleaner, more open flower form than her ruffled sisters — broader petals, less frill, more honest presence. Each cluster is dense and abundant, pushing upward above compact, richly green foliage. She blooms with generous consistency through spring.

In a terracotta pot in dappled sun, against a warm stone wall — she simply glows.

What Loes Loves

Regal pelargoniums reward the grower who pays attention. Loes is generous in return — give her the right conditions and she will bloom abundantly all spring.

☀️

Light

Loes thrives in bright light with a few hours of direct sun daily, especially morning sun. Her colour intensifies beautifully in good light. Protect from harsh afternoon sun in midsummer.

💧

Watering

Water thoroughly when the top layer of compost is dry to the touch. Excellent drainage is essential — standing water causes rapid root rot. Water at the base, not overhead.

🌡️

Temperature

Ideal growing range is 12–22°C. A cool winter rest at 8–12°C encourages vigorous spring flowering. Bring indoors before frost. In Prahova conditions, move inside by late October.

✂️

Pruning

Deadhead spent blooms regularly — Loes's dense flowering means old flowers accumulate quickly. After the main spring flush, cut back by around one-third to maintain a compact shape.

🌱

Feeding

Feed every two weeks through the growing season with an organic, high-potassium fertiliser. Suspend feeding completely from October through February during the rest period.

🏡

Display

Particularly striking in warm terracotta or aged bronze pots — her fuchsia colour sings against earthy tones. Excels on a sunny sheltered terrace, patio, or in a conservatory.
